16.11 Part Six – Conditions

Inspection

The insurer has the right, but not the obligation, to inspect the employer's workplaces. These inspections are conducted for underwriting and premium determination purposes only and are not intended to evaluate or guarantee workplace health or safety.

Transfer of the Insured’s Rights and Duties (Assignment)

The employer cannot transfer its rights or responsibilities under the policy to another person or organization without the insurer's written consent.

Cancellation

The employer may cancel the policy at any time by providing the insurer with advance written notice. The notice must specify the effective date of cancellation.

The insurer may cancel the policy by providing the employer with at least 10 days' advance written notice. The notice must state the effective date of cancellation.

The policy terminates on the date and time specified in the cancellation notice. If a state's laws require different cancellation procedures or notice periods, the policy is automatically adjusted to comply with those legal requirements.

Sole Representative

If the policy lists multiple insureds, the first named insured represents all insureds. This party has the authority to request policy changes, receive any return premium, and send or receive cancellation notices on behalf of all insureds.
